Not too long ago I was wandering around my local Goodwill, like ya do, and I came across this bookshelf. It was not nearly in this good of condition, I think this is what it was supposed to look like new.
Whoever had this shelf before me did a number on it!
Water damage, serious scratches, and dust so thick it could chock any creature walking though. There were front panels falling off, shelves missing support pins. It was a mess. But it was cheap and I really needed a bookshelf!
After a quick trip to Wal-Mart and about 36 hours later this is what I came up with:
This bookshelf got a good sanding down, spray paint job, and glow in the dark stars added!
I LOVE glass, and seem to have a lot of liquor on hand at any given time, and desperately wanted a little bar for my little apartment.
Due to my lack of owning a drill, I hot glue gunned each of the bar fixtures on, which actually is far sturdier than I thought it would be.
The top shelf glass hangers (the silver) are from IKEA, but I bought them long ago and have been saving them for a project like this. The white ones on the second shelf are thankfully hidden by one of the borders on the shelves, but they were what IKEA replaced the silver ones with months later.
