Hello Darlings!
In the event you weren’t aware, Pinterest is AWESOME. I have learned so many things since I have started using Pinterest. I’ve learned (and tried) all sorts of great holiday recipes, and seen some truly inspirational nail art. But this weekend I tried perhaps one of the easiest things I’ve seen on Pinterest. It literally took me about 2 seconds to do. It was fantastic. And this morning when I woke up, I had this delightful little gem to look at:
Yup, what you are looking at is a celery base sitting in some Tupperware. Except it is growing. Again! How awesome is that? Truthfully I don’t use celery that often, so I would expect by the time this gets to its fullest growth state, is probably the next time I will have a need for it. I love that there was no soil, no strategic mess. Just water and a celery base.
I feel a little silly that something so basic as growing some celery from something I would have thrown out is making my day, but WOOT WOOT!
Love,
The Sparkle Queen
So cool! I've done this with green onions too, and it works REALLY well, except they get a bit mushy after a while. Keep us updated with the celery progress 🙂
I'm glad you've had good luck with onions! I've tried those nearly 3 times and they have yet to work out for me before getting covered in mold. 🙁 Have you tried garlic yet? I have one growing now that I had just stuck in the ground. Looks like its doing pretty good!
