just say, “sparkly” was the inspiration for the textural manicure.

as to how I made this look, so keep reading!

Step One: It should go without saying, but as
a refresher, you MUST prep your nails! Clean filed nails, moisturized skin and
cuticles, and a strong base coat shouldn’t be overlooked. This simple routine
helps keep your skin soft, and your nails strong! The Suave® Skin Solutions
Smoothing Body Lotion with Aloe was the first lotion that came to my mind to use with this
manicure. Your skin can always use some extra moisture and hydration,
especially as you continue to try and rotate all of these amazing nail art
looks yourself!

regular polish, just because it is more versatile. Two coats may be necessary
depending on the formula and coverage on the first coat.

Step
Three: See stripes! Grab a pair of scissors and take
your striping tape out and start laying out the design on your nails that you
want. For this look I went for two rows of glitter per nail, but you can adjust
and customize to your heart’s content!

Step Four:
Glitter time! Work over a paper plate or something that is easy to tidy
up when you are done. You’ve been
warned.

Take a clear
polish of your choice and CAREFULLY paint in the line (just one at a time!)
that you want the glitter to go in. Immediately start scooping glitter onto the
wet polish with a wide brush. You can use a little spoon or anything else you
are clever to come up with, I just find the brush works best for me.

Pat the
glitter down to create more contact with the polish, and swipe away any excess
with a brush LIGHTLY! You may have to touch up some spots, but it should be
pretty well covered in the first go. Rinse and repeat. When done, remove the striping tape from your
nails.

Step Five:
Between all of the layers, you are going to have a nice little mess to
clean up. But don’t fret! It is going to go SO much better (and quicker!) if
you use your Q-tips® Precision Tips™ cotton swabs with a touch of polish
remover.

Step Six: Help your skin! Using a clean
Q-tips® Precision Tips™ cotton swab dipped in water, lightly rinse off your
skin from any lingering chemicals. Then, using the OTHER side, put a small drop
of Suave® Skin Solutions Body Lotion on it. The Q-tips® Precision Tips™ cotton
swab is going to help you get the lotion only where you want it, on your skin,
and NOT on your pretty new manicure.
Make sure to apply the lotion to the top of your nails (think the tip of
your finger) and the cuticles.

skin from any lingering chemicals. Then, using the OTHER side, put a small drop
of Suave® Skin Solutions Body Lotion on it. The Q-tips® Precision Tips™ cotton
swab is going to help you get the lotion only where you want it, on your skin,
and NOT on your pretty new manicure.
Make sure to apply the lotion to the top of your nails (think the tip of
your finger) and the cuticles.
And that is
it! No top coat or anything, because that would take away the matte finish,
obviously. But all the same, these are some stunning nails! Check out the
