What can you do $1 pumpkins, LED candles, and some lanterns? Make a festive Halloween tree that’s cute and not too spooky! It’s time to take out that Christmas tree out of the garage and get to decorating. This is such a great excuse to start the holiday decorating now.
It’s easy, it’s quick, and there’s a good chance you already have the materials ready to go! I love how the LED candles flicker in the pumpkins and reflect off all the glitter on the lanterns, it’s dazzling to watch.

This Halloween tree filled with custom jack o lanterns looks great during the day, and at night. These pumpkins are so easy to customize! A few years back I shared this video showing just how easy it is to spruce up some $1 pumpkins with scissors and a cool felt sticker sheet.
Many thanks to my friends at Shop Wild Things for sending me these adorable lanterns to decorate with. Shop Wild Things has a great selection of LED candles, so make sure to pick some up while you are shopping. Make sure you check out the new items on their site, there is always something cool and unique.

The purple lights that are built into my tree make this super easy, but if you don’t have some in your tree, they are easy to pick up this time of the year.
I hope this video inspires you to dig through your stashes and see what you have around the house that you can upcycle onto a tree. The $1 pumpkins are great because they are plastic, cheap, and easy to customize. You can make these jack-o-lanterns as cute and smiley, or as dark and spooky as your heart desires.
And if you aren’t quite ready for a full tree yet, why not make a cute backdrop area? This could also be a perfect spot to convert to a reading nook and curl up with a good book.
Last year I used these same pumpkins to make a super cute and easy tablescape which was SO fun to dine under. It’s like dining by candle light, Halloween edition.
