Was I expecting to make this magical, Bridgerton inspired wisteria dream reading nook this year? No! But I did set out to create seasonal home décor on a large scale, with what I thought would be through my artificial Christmas tree, yes! But alas, inspiration stuck harder here. And I’m not mad about it.
This part of our house is always a weird transitional spot, since it’s THE spot for the Christmas tree, and it’s hard to figure out what to put here the rest of the year temporarily.
After watching the Bridgerton series on Netflix once, ok twice, I’m loving what Shonda and her team are making these days.
For me, I’m not drawn to the historical nature of the show, in fact I typically do not care for films/tv series from days of past. But knowing that Shondaland was behind it, and Netflix made such a compelling trailer. I figured, one episode, we’ll see how I like it.

What we see shared in this video tutorial is my Bridgerton inspired, Wisteria Dream Tree, a reading nook I created with the most fabulous tapestry backdrop. The inspiration is straight out of the opening dream scene from season 1 episode 3.

This oversized wisteria tree full of beautiful white flowers in full bloom is illuminated by these oversized bulbous, almost milky looking lights. I loved the warm glow the tree provides in contrast to the dark night. It seemed like such a cozy spot, and I could totally see myself lying under a tree like that with a good book….and since I want to read the Bridgerton series now, why not make a fun space that is inspired by it, and perfect for Spring?
You do not have to have any fancy skills to create this look in your space. It is very easy to do, and all the materials and references used are linked in the tutorial video.

Have you seen Bridgerton? Does it inspire any of your craft projects these days? I have a million and a half tablescape ideas I would love to do, inspired by the series.
